Eden in London
Eden’s leadership team have recently been presented with an open door into the nation’s capital. As a city London is unique. There are a variety of social, economic, cultural and political factors which mean extending the Eden Network to London will need a unique strategic approach. New challenges will have to be met head on and the theory and praxis of the last decade will no doubt need to stretch and evolve. For this reason responsibility for bringing Eden to the capital will be taken on personally by the national director of the network Matt Wilson who has been part of the movement since its inception and has been overseeing its development for the last 6 years. Matt relocated to London with his family in August 2009.

Specific goals are that by autumn 2010 a London City Director will have been handed responsibility for the London network. 4 new plants will have commenced, each with a full time leader and contextualized mission strategy to work out. A new charity called ‘Eden Network London’ will be established with a mandate to deliver Eden long term in the city. Prior to the establishing of the board a steering group of ‘enthusiasts’’ will progress the vision members of whom may ultimately take seats on the London board.
Ultimately the vision is to see numerous (potentially dozens) of Edens all over the Greater London conurbation positively impacting tens of thousands of unreached youth with the gospel in word and deed.
