Eden Buttershaw
With a great community spirit but with high deprivation and poor local services Buttershaw estate in South Bradford is prime Eden territory. High crime, drug issues and poor health mean that the young people of the Estate can easily start life with less opportunities than they deserve.
 The local Baptist Church has been committed to the estate for decades and longs to add high quality community youth mission to its long list of community engagement. Buttershaw Baptist is a lively, charismatic family orientated Church which has established community action programmes and a strong history as a missional congregation. The Church is New Wine linked and seeks to bring the Kingdom of Heaven in all its life changing fullness to Buttershaw estate.
The fellowship is largely made up by local people combined with young families who have made Buttershaw their home and have chosen to join a mission orientated local Church. The Church is a great opportunity for Eden as it has the flexibility and vision of the fresh start plant model with the facilities and backing of the merged model. Vibrant worship, relevant teaching and a commitment to exploring new ways of mission and engagement make the Church a wonderful place to call home. Strong community and local school links are waiting to be exploited by the high-impact work of Eden.
