If you've got this far we're guessing that God is already speaking to you about inner city mission, however the process to join Eden is deliberately designed to add information to support your passion and to test the call that you may already be feeling. We often describe Eden as a life choice and as with any major long term decision it should be made wisely, prayerfully and in accountability with others.

Step 1: Application Form, the Eden application form is pretty comprehensive. Its designed to help us get to know you and to help you to think through some of your strengths and weaknesses as well as your vision and expectations of living on an Eden project. Step 2: References, along with the application form we will send you two reference forms, one for your current church leader and one for another personal referee, we will also send information packs for your referees to help them understand the distinctive nature of Eden life. This will help you initiate a conversation with your church leaders about your decision and the references are an essential part of the process for us in getting to know you better.
Step 3: Your first visit, once we have your application form and both of your references we will prayerfully consider your application and discuss it with the relevant Eden team leaders. You may have elected a particular project on your application form or we may direct you towards a project which we feel would best suit your skills and experience. If we are all in agreement the Team Leader will contact you and arrange for you to come on an informal visit usually for a weekend. This is an opportunity for you to get to know the church and the team and ask lots of questions to help you make your decision, it also enables us to get to know you and to begin to discern whether Eden is the right step for you. If you are uncertain which project is for you this visit is an opportunity to spend time with a couple of different teams.
Step 4: The Interview, after your first visit we usually allow an agreed amount of time for prayer and reflection so that you can make sure that God is leading you towards Eden. If again we are in agreement that Eden is the way forward you will come for a more formal interview with the Eden Team Leader and the church leader.
Step 5: The Decision, again after an interview we usually agree an amount of time for prayer, and once everyone is agreed we can confirm your aceeptance onto Eden and plan your move in date; your team leader will assist you wherever possible to sort out the practicalities of your move.
The whole application process can take just a matter of weeks or it can take up to a year depending on your situation but we recommend that you make the decision slowly and deliberately. That means that requesting an application pack today will be the first step in seeking God for your future and we are just at the end of the phone to chat with you and answer your questions throughout the process.
